Along with Gene Autry  Roy Rogers ( 1911-1998) was  Hollywood’s most successful singing cowboy from 1935-1950.When he moved to tv shows he had starred in about 90 features  and in a lot of them his wife Dale Evans and Trigger, the smartest horse in the movies, had appeared.

This unique doc. is epically for fans of the old naïve westerns who can identify with a grown-up man who goes back to his youth to enjoy those days of singing cowboys and cowgirls and finally after so many years meets his idols.

Thys Ockersen was also a big fan like many other young kids. So this documentary that runs 75 minutes is his search for his idol. The question is will he meet him, because Roy is not well. In the meantime Thys discovers by talking to fans, co-stars and director William Witney that Roy & Dale are still popular and still have a large following.
